Technology in the Classroom

Technology comes into play with every aspect of our degree programs.

Students can tap into leading educational technologies with our eBook Collection, virtual organizations, simulations, the Center for Mathematics Excellence and the Center for Writing Excellence. The Phoenix Newsroom details additional ways that we’re bringing technology to the forefront in education.

eBook Collection

The eBook Collection is an online library that includes hundreds of electronic textbooks. In many classes, selected readings are compiled from a variety of texts.

Virtual Organizations

Our virtual organizations simulate real-life problems, complete with everything from company records to employee intranet sites.

Simulations

Students view sophisticated electronic demonstrations to explore and manipulate information to test hypotheses and assess results in a controlled environment.

Center for Mathematics Excellence

The Center for Mathematics Excellence offers a flexible lab setting where students can seek out additional assistance in math and receive immediate feedback.

Center for Writing Excellence

The Center for Writing Excellence provides resources to help enhance and strengthen written communication skills.

WritePoint℠ System

The WritePoint℠ system provides students with immediate feedback on grammar, punctuation, word usage, and some style points.

Turn-It-In Plagiarism Checker

The Plagiarism Checker scans papers against the Internet and the research source database ProQuest® to discern every possible matching source.

Tutor Review

Tutor Review gives students the opportunity to have their papers reviewed by faculty. Papers are viewed for format, grammar, punctuation and usage. Tutors provide feedback within 48 hours. The Tutor Review also provides a Spanish Writing Lab (El Centro de RedAcción) for campuses in which Spanish is the native language.

Tutorials and Guides

We offer programs in writing and additional resources to help students develop writing skills within their specific discipline. Bilingual students can take advantage of tutorials that provide guidance for non-native English speakers.
