PLA Student Seminars

Take the guesswork out of applying for PLA credits

University of Phoenix offers seminars to help you understand the types of experience and education that are eligible for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credits. These credits are applied to degrees for applicable employment, prior learning or life experience.

These seminars also explain the PLA application process. You’ll learn to:

  • Identify which experiences and training are eligible for PLA
  • Create a portfolio for PLA submission
  • Develop an essay that details your eligible experience

Who should attend?

The seminars benefit students with General Education and/or Elective credits remaining in their degree program. An academic counselor can help you determine whether PLA credits will fulfill these credits.

When are PLA Seminars held?

Students can choose from one of the following times:

Day Time
First Wednesday of the month 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM - Arizona Time
First Thursday of the month 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM - Arizona Time
