Christina Cianciolo

Bachelor of Science in Business, 2000

Christina Cianciolo was given the opportunity to complete her bachelor’s degree at University of Phoenix through an education subsidy program offered by her company. For Christina, “paying it forward” is a philosophy she practices whenever she can, so it made perfect sense to nominate her nephew Joseph for the scholarship program.

Joseph Dziedzic IV will become the first person in his family to earn a bachelor’s degree thanks to the support of a Paying it Forward® scholarship. University of Phoenix alumni can “pay forward” their success by nominating individuals whose lives could be improved by completing a college education. The scholarship helps pay for tuition and resources needed to complete an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program at University of Phoenix.

Joseph worked full time while going to school to earn his associate’s degree and hopes to complete his bachelor’s degree to advance his career in today’s competitive job market. Currently employed in the mortgage industry, he understands the opportunities for advancement are limited due to the economic recession, but looks forward to becoming the first in his family to earn a degree.
