Leon Wright

Leon Wright is committed to serving his country and his community in Detroit, Michigan, where he was born and raised. His military, academic and spiritual connection has fueled his desire to teach, educate and learn every day of his life. “Education is truly my passion,” shares Leon.
Leon is pursuing his passion through teaching and his involvement and leadership in several community groups. He serves as the First Lieutenant of the Michigan Civil Air Patrol (CAP), a division of the Homeland Department of Security designed to assist local public safety entities.
Through online learning, Leon teaches CAP youth programs on flight simulation and he also teaches a cadet program focusing on leadership, character development, healthy living and aerospace education. Leon also serves as the Commander for the CAP’s Detroit 100th Composite Squadron.
His greatest career achievement is his work with Global Psychological Services, a program designed to teach at-risk teens. He’s also writing a new program to assist special education youth with learning.
