Peter Vapor

Bachelor of Science in Business/Management, 2004

Peter Vapor enlisted in the United States Navy and worked his up the chain of command to the highest-ranking officer. His formula for success – hard work, determination and education.

Peter enlisted as a non-designated (no formal school) Airman and later moved into aviation administration. With no promise of advancement ahead, he set his sights on applying for Officer Candidate School but came up short when it came to having a bachelor’s degree. Peter needed to find a school with a flexible degree program that would also transfer some of his credits from a community college so that he didn’t have to start from scratch.

He selected University of Phoenix and completed his bachelor’s degree two years later. A year after that Peter was selected for Officer Candidate School at the age of 34. Soon after he was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy. Peter ultimately became an MCPO/E-9, the highest enlisted rank in the Navy.

He is back at University of Phoenix, this time pursuing his master’s degree in business administration.
