Shahita Foster

Master of Business Administration, 2004

If you want to escape from everyday life, try reading the book “Champagne & Butterflies: Maybe Some Girls Do Have It All,” suggests author Shahita Foster. A self-proclaimed “girly girl” who loves fashion and passion, Shahita incorporated these into her new novel.

The book features sisters Kyla and Kimari who set off to finish their wild college years at Penn State University. Before moving on to the real world, they find themselves facing obstacles they never could have imagined. Seen through the eyes of designer clad glasses, both privileged sisters discover who they truly are while experiencing growing pains like never before.

Shahita, who writes poetry as well, says her novel is pure and fun entertainment. “There’s romance, comedy as well as a good old-fashioned moral to the story. It’s a light, fun read,” shares Shahita. “I totally believe in escapism and this novel is a fun getaway from everyday life.”
