Stephen Tremp

Master of Business Administration/Global Management, 2006

If you’re intrigued by non-stop action and suspense, technological breakthroughs, evil genius geeks, a brilliant champion and the infinity of cyberspace—then you’ll want to read “Breakthrough,” a novel by Stephen Tremp.

The story takes place today as the story’s hero, Chase Manhattan battles a group of graduate students from Massachusetts Institute of Technology to control a breakthrough that is so transformative, it threatens to alter life as we know it. The conflict takes place on both coasts and in cyberspace.

Stephen earned his Master of Business Administration/Global Management degree from University of Phoenix in 2006 and has drawn inspiration from his background in information systems and science. He credits research papers completed while at University of Phoenix as necessary background to describe the complex technology in his thriller.

“With scientific knowledge growing at breakneck speed and the global geo-political scene changing as quickly as it has been, I thought using these two ideas as a backdrop for 'Breakthrough' would make for an exciting and ultimately terrifying trilogy,” says Stephen.

“Breakthrough” is the first book in a trilogy. “Opening” and “Escalation” are the two follow-up books in the series. “I want the readers to care about the characters, to relate to and identify with their trials and tribulations …” Stephen explains.
