University of Phoenix Southwest Learning Center is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s convenient to Interstate 215, making it accessible to busy adults balancing education with the demands of work. Las Vegas is home to five University of Phoenix locations, including the Southwest Learning Center, Northwest Learning Center, Las Vegas Campus, Nellis AFB Campus and Henderson Learning Center.

Continuing Your Education at the Southwest Learning Center in Las Vegas, Nevada

University of Phoenix in Nevada empowers adults working in a host of fields to further their educations and expand their horizons. Many of our students are enrolled in business, nursing and education programs. Students interested in pursuing an undergraduate degree in education can earn a Bachelor of Science in Education. The BS in education is designed to prepare candidates for teacher licensure.

Nursing students interested in continuing their education can pursue a Master of Health Administration degree or one of several Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees*. At present, Southwest Learning Center students can take the graduate nursing courses needed to complete these programs exclusively online. The MSN program does include a practicum that can be completed in the student’s home community.

Many online students are pleased to discover that their courses allow for plenty of interaction and teamwork. For example, online students, as well as students enrolled at the Southwest Learning Center, use an innovative online learning portal to tackle real-world challenges via virtual organizations. Students can also test hypotheses and draw results through online simulations. The online University Library is also available through this portal, putting a host of relevant research materials at your fingertips.
