The School of Advanced Studies at University of Phoenix is committed to helping doctoral learners achieve their educational goals. As part of this commitment, a Doctoral Success Orientation has been developed exclusively for doctoral learners.

The online orientation session is a seven-day training lab designed to acquaint new doctoral learners with the University's learning platform and available educational tools. A learning resource available at no cost, the Doctoral Success Orientation provides an opportunity to "tour" the online campus in preparation for the first doctoral course. Additionally, the orientation enables doctoral learners to develop critical competencies by completing a series of exercises and receiving feedback from a facilitator. Learners who complete the Doctoral Success Orientation can gain a strong foundation in the characteristics needed to complete their degree.
