Welcome to the University of Phoenix, College of Education. We have been proudly offering programs for educators since 1983. Our mission is to prepare candidates who possess the knowledge, skills, dispositions, and dedication to lifelong learning that will support their practice as educational professionals. We are proud to offer professional development coursework, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in a variety of disciplines to meet the needs of current and future educators. Our Master of Arts in Education, Teacher Education programs are nationally accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) and we have state-approved programs in states across the country; offering candidates the opportunity to attend classes in their local communities. In addition, we offer programs via the online modality.
The Conceptual Framework of the College is centered on the Educational Professional and seven themes that support professional practice. An emphasis on knowledge, skills, dispositions, and lifelong learning as essential elements for professional practice binds these together. Degree programs are aligned with professional, state, and program outcomes and emphasize the following themes for professional practice.
