This is because University of Phoenix, founded in 1976, was built around the idea of helping working adults incorporate higher education into their busy schedules.
The degree programs at the North Florida Campus aren't one-size-fits all options. Instead, this University of Phoenix location in Florida offers a multitude of bachelor's and master's degrees in fields such as nursing, business and management, education and technology. Online associate's degree programs through University of Phoenix also are available.

Students who are just starting out can earn their Associate of Arts degree online through University of Phoenix. Associate-level courses last nine weeks and concentrations are available in several areas. Students pursuing their bachelor's degrees can focus their learning on a variety of fields. Undergraduate classes are five weeks in length.
