Tuition Deferral Plan
Does your employer offer a tuition reimbursement plan? Find out how you can take advantage of the plan to help pay for your University of Phoenix education.
The Tuition Deferral Plan is available for students whose employers offer to repay some or all of their employees’ tuition. The plan is also available to students receiving benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or U.S. Department of Defense.
When students select either plan, the University agrees to defer payment for tuition and electronic course materials fees until 60 days from each course start date and up to two days of processing time. When the deferral period ends, the student’s card on file will be automatically charged. Students are responsible for payment of their tuition and electronic course materials fees regardless of receipt of payment from their company.
Students who do not complete their course are required to pay for tuition and electronic course materials fees upon dropping from the course. The amount due is determined by the Institutional Refund Policy. Students should contact a financial advisor for more information on the policy.
U.S. Armed Forces members, their spouses and their dependants must complete and submit all forms required by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in compliance with current VA standards to be eligible for the Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 30) benefits. Veterans and active duty personnel applying the Tuition Assistance Top-Up benefit are also eligible for the Tuition Deferral Plan.
The Tuition Deferral Plan is also available to students eligible for the Reserve Educational Assistance program, the Post—Vietnam Era Veterans’ Educational Assistance program, and the Survivors and Dependents’ Educational Assistance program.
To select the Tuition Deferral Plan, students must complete the Student Financial Agreement and the Authorization to Charge forms. For additional information, contact a University representative.
