This course is an investigation of critical thinking and an evaluation of thinking. Students examine the intellectual standards of "good" thinking and how the criteria and standards of critical thinking cut across subjects in the curriculum. Students evaluate their own thinking through self-reflection, study of thinking structures, and active participation in thinking challenges. Current classroom practices are investigated, and strategies and materials are developed to foster critical thinking as a dominant purpose of each course.
