This course will provide students with a process for developing a clear understanding of a business's culture, operations, and market position in order to develop a strategic plan. That plan serves as a blueprint for gaining the competitive advantage necessary for an organization's success now and in the future. Students will develop an approach to formulate the strategic programs and initiatives critical to effectively leading and managing an organization. This course provides 0.8 continuing education units over two 4-hour workshops.

Strategic Planning Skills
- Prioritize the issues and opportunities to be addressed by the strategy
- Determine responses to challenges and opportunities
- Identify action criteria for strategic goals and objectives
- Determine authority for carrying out the defined objectives
- Identify a system for monitoring the plan
