CMP560 Instructional Multimedia Authoring
Course Description
This course gives students the opportunity to design and create Web pages. It provides students with first-hand experience in the methodologies of multimedia presentation development related to the educational setting. The course also provides students an opportunity to analyze and use a variety of techniques and methods to develop effective and relevant multimedia learning activities.

Web Site Basics
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of the terminology specific to the Internet.
- Identify basic steps in creating Web sites using Web-authoring tools.
- Evaluate Web-authoring software applications.
- Apply organizational strategies to name files and folders in creating Web sites.
- Analyze the effectiveness of multimedia in the classroom.
- Describe the advantages and disadvantages of using Web sites in the classroom.
Design Issues on the Web
- Compare and contrast print and Web media.
- Describe basic design principles pertaining to Web sites.
