This course prepares participants to incorporate critical thinking strategies in the classroom. Opportunities are provided to implement critical thinking skills into the curriculum and learning environment. Participants will recognize and respond to reasoning concepts and determine instructional and assessment strategies for thinking critically across disciplines.
Critical Thinking: Language Arts and Social Studies
Justify the use of critical thinking in language arts and social studies.
Explain how critical readers interact with text.
Analyze how integrated instruction develops critical thinking skills.
Critical Thinking: Math and Science
Implement critical thinking strategies in math and science applications.
Determine reasoning concepts that enrich instruction.
Explain critical thinking strategies in assessment.

Describe the differences between beliefs and prejudices.
