Human resource professionals are responsible for understanding and applying employment law regulations within an organization, resulting in positive employee and employer relations. This course explores federal laws and regulations that impact employee and labor relations in the workplace. Students will identify employment legislation as it relates to the employee and employer relations, the development of organizational programs and procedures, its impact on performance management and discipline, and the building and measuring of employee relations. This course provides 1.0 continuing education units over two 5-hour workshops.
