Course Description

This course provides an in-depth analysis of innovation and change and the use of imagination as the human creative force. Developments in architecture, painting, sculpture, literature, and music are examined as processes and products of human imagination. The course will highlight artistic creativity as both a response to and a catalyst of change.

Creativity and Genius

  • Examine the human experience of creativity and genius.

  • Examine creativity through great authors, painters, architects, and sculptors.
  • Differentiate between creativity in a product and creativity in a process.
