This organizational behavior course encompasses the study of individual and group behavior in organizational settings. Students will learn to examine their role in an organization. Other topics include strategic elements of organizational behavior, workforce diversity, managing change, effective communication, and performance systems.

    • Evaluate individual characteristics of employees.
    • Analyze the effect of individual employee characteristics on organizational performance.
    • Determine management methods based on individual employee characteristics.
  • Motivation and Communication

    • Determine strategies to motivate employees.
    • Create effective organizational communication.
  • Groups and Teams

    • Determine strategies to help develop effective groups and teams.
    • Determine strategies to resolve conflict within organizations.
  • Organizational Structure, Culture, Power, and Politics

    • Analyze the influence of organizational structure on behavior.
    • Analyze the influence of organizational culture on behavior.
    • Analyze the influence of power and politics on behavior..
  • Managing Diversity and Change

    • Determine strategies to manage diversity.
    • Devise methods to manage organizational change.
