Organizational Change Management –

This course prepares students to be effective agents for change in the business community. This includes a step-wise framework for understanding, designing, and implementing change successfully. Special emphasis is placed on organizational change, program design, change processes, and successfully implementing both short-term and long-term change within the organization.
This undergraduate-level course is 5 weeks. To enroll, speak with an Enrollment Advisor.
  • Why Organizational Change?

    • Identify the factors that drive organizational change.
    • Explain the impact of the global environment on organizational change.
    • Describe the various stages of the transition curve.
  • What needs to be changed?

    • Analyze the mission of the company in order to narrow the scope of the change.
    • Analyze the global environment and internal information relevant to change in an organization.
    • Determine change methods based on organizational needs.
  • Managing resistance to change

    • Evaluate various means to communicate clear messages about the change.
    • Recommend strategies for managing stakeholder attitudes during organizational change.
  • Implementing change

    • Assess various strategies to implement change.
    • Evaluate the consistency between the change implementation and the intention of the change.
  • Sustaining change

    • Establish metrics to sustain change.
    • Identify indicators of sustained change.
    • Select adjustment strategies to sustain change based on feedback from metrics.
