Managing In A Cross-cultural Environment –

This course prepares students to persuade decision makers across global dimensions of culture. Students will create a training plan for enhancing cultural awareness and tolerance within a cross-border organization. Other topics include cross-cultural communication, differences in decision making, values, motivation, and leadership.
This graduate-level course is 6 weeks. To enroll, speak with an Enrollment Advisor.
  • Cross–Cultural Communication

    • Identify culturally appropriate communicative styles.
    • Contrast cross–cultural ethical values in business.
  • Cross–Cultural Leadership Styles and Motivators

    • Contrast culturally appropriate leadership styles.
    • Identify culturally appropriate motivators.
  • Cultural Awareness Goals

    • Define cultural awareness goals for an organization.
    • Define measurable critical success factors.
  • Overcoming Challenges to Cultural Awareness

    • Identify challenges to accomplishing cultural awareness goals.
    • Design solutions to meet cultural awareness goals.
  • Cultural Awareness Plan

    • Develop a cultural awareness plan.
    • Explain criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the cultural awareness plan.
  • Training Program

    • Develop a training program.
