This course prepares students to align an organization’s social responsibility initiatives with its values. Students will create a proposal for an organization that aligns corporate social initiatives with its values. Other topics include ethics, values awareness, and evaluating the results of social initiatives.

Topics and Objectives

Ethical Business Decisions
- Differentiate between legal and ethical responsibilities.
- Apply an ethical decision making process to make ethical business decisions.
Cultural and Employee Relationship Values
- Identify the cultural values of an organization.
- Identify the employee relationship values of an organization.
Technology, Privacy, Accounting, Finance, and Governance Values
- Identify the technology and privacy values of an organization.
- Identify the accounting, finance, and governance values of an organization.
Social Responsibility, Marketing, and Environmental Values
- Identify the social responsibility values of an organization.
- Identify the marketing values of an organization.
- Identify the environmental values of an organization.
Planning Social Initiatives
- Determine social initiatives based on organizational values.
- Identify aspects of social initiatives to evaluate.
- Develop plan for social initiatives.
Evaluating Social Initiatives
- Create tools to evaluate the results of social initiatives.
