    Regulations and Compliance

    • The learner will synthesize the expectations of professionalism in relation to the licensure, accreditation, and ethical leadership of health care entities.
    • The learner will distinguish between state and federal regulatory frameworks and their impact on compliance oversight and enforcement.
    • The learner will differentiate among the affiliated regulations, rules, and guidelines of the Affordable Care Act, Medicare fraud and abuse, and HIPAA.
    • The learner will synthesize the elements of a compliance program, the design of a compliance plan, and the necessary actions to ensure compliance.
