This course builds on previous nursing knowledge and skills to expand into the professional nursing role related to the medical surgical client experiencing acute health care problems. Application of nursing roles as provider of care, advocate, teacher, and manager, through critical thinking, and restoration of health in adults is discussed. Theory based nursing practice will be utilized by the student to apply critical thinking pathways to individual heath problems. Students are required to successfully complete 60 clinical hours to pass the course.
