This course focuses on the care of the medical/surgical client with complex health care problems. The course compliments NUR/320 - Care of the Medical/Surgical Client with acute health care problems. Orem's Self-Care Model will be utilized by the student to apply critical thinking pathways to individuals with chronic complex health care problems. Students are required to successfully complete 60 clinical hours to pass the course.
