Java Programming II –

This course continues the subject in PRG/420, Java Programming I. Topics include designing complex applications and the use of data files.

Applets and Graphics
- Use graphics in a Java^® program.
- Design, implement, test, and debug a Java^® applet.
Database Connectivity and Mobile Computing
- Discuss considerations in writing programs for mobile devices with the Java^® language.
- Design, implement, test, and debug a Java^® program that connects to a database.
Files
- Design, implement, test, and debug a GUI program that includes reading and writing data files.
- Design, implement, test, and debug a GUI program that includes exception handling.
GUI Components
- Design, implement, test, and debug a GUI program that includes lists, combo boxes, and menus.
User Interfaces
- Apply layout managers.
- Design, implement, test, and debug a Java^® program that incorporates a graphical user interface (GUI) and processes events.
