Philip Michael Orlando earned a Doctor of Musical Arts Choral Conducting/Repertoire with a Minor in Theatre in 1989, a Master of Arts in Orchestral Conducting in 1974 and a Post-Doctoral in Educational Administration in 1997. He teaches communication courses at the associate’s level at University of Phoenix. He also serves as the Director of Academic Affairs at the Wichita Campus. His full-time administrative/faculty responsibilities include teaching for the University in the Doctoral School for Advanced Studies. He serves as a dissertation advisor and College of Arts and Sciences and teaches several courses including Communication in the Electronic Age for the Apollo Orange Lutheran High School Online. Philip is Vice Chair of Board of Directors of the Wichita Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of the Board for the Kansas Hispanic Education and Development Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors for the Kansas Quick Careers and belongs to the Kansas Urban League. His artistic career has spanned 44 years and has taken him throughout the United States early in his career as a professional actor, singer and dancer in New York on and off Broadway to Summer Stock, regional and national touring companies.

Millicent Thomas

Millicent Thomas earned her Master of Science, Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College in 1985 and a Ph.D. in Social Foundations in 1985 and a Bachelor of Arts in Black Studies in 1974 from State University of New York at Buffalo in 1999. She was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in 1970, his Masters in Business and Economics from the University of Central Missouri in 1971, and her Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Louisville in 1981. She teaches courses in Sociology, Communication and Research.
Millicent’s professional experiences encompasses nearly two decades within the non-profit sector. The progression of positions included Client Specialist III, Vice President of Program Operations, Director of Economic Development and Employment and Training, and Executive Director of non-profit agency that addressed employment in the skills trade industry. She has been actively involved in education on several levels from substitute teacher to university professor. Her current focus addresses the quality of education for the single parent adult learner.
