Susannah Arnim

Susannah Arnim has earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Public Communication and Human Resource Management from the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business. She teaches undergraduate, graduate and certificate courses in Human Resources at the Idaho Campus. She does presentations for a variety of organizations including chambers of commerce, the Ada County Commerce and Labor Employer Committee and the Small Business Development Center of Boise State University.

Susannah has more than 30 years of management experience in the industries of hospitality, banking, manufacturing, financial services, publishing, education and consulting. She has experience leading and developing workforces in unionized, non-unionized, mature, start-up and independent operations. Susannah has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She is president of her local, 350-member affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and is a member of the Idaho State Council of SHRM.

Everyone has something important to contribute to most subject matter learning by virtue of their own unique background, history, and experiences. In this context, we all learn more than what a typical text can share with us. Yes, even the instructors as facilitators learn from that participatory learning; I know I have.

Ernie Hernandez

Ernie holds master’s and doctoral degrees in Sociology, in 1970 and 1979 respectively. He teaches for the University of Phoenix in Orange County at the Southern California Campus. Ernie has also taught part-time in the fields of Business, Information Systems, and Computer Sciences for a variety of schools including California State University at Fullerton, California State University at Long Beach, National University at the Irvine (now Costa Mesa), Vista, Riverside, Westminster and San Diego campuses.

Ernie has spent nearly two decades working in the non-profit sector. His titles have included Client Specialist III, Vice President of Program Operations, Director of Economic Development and Employment and Training and Executive Director of non-profit agency that addressed employment in the skills trade industry. Ernie has also held management positions with General Electric, AT&T, Southern California Gas Company and Los Angeles County. These days, he own and manages a business consulting company which also publishes books and software.
