Albert Mendoza Sr., MAM
Albert Mendoza Sr. has 34 years of law enforcement experience, half of which were spent in the supervision and management of law enforcement organizations. With a Master of Arts in Management, he teaches undergraduate and graduate level criminal justice courses at the Southern California and San Diego campuses. He also works with a risk management firm and is involved in the security assessment of schools using the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED).
He earned his Master of Arts in Management from the University of Redlands in Redlands, California. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University in San Bernardino and an Associate of Arts in Administration of Justice from Riverside Community College.
Albert retired after 34 years in law enforcement, 22 of which were with the Riverside Police Department, 4 with the Perris Police Department and 7 with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. He worked his way up from sergeant to lieutenant to commander. He also served as a facilities and operations lieutenant at two California detention and correctional centers and worked with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for several years.
He currently works with a risk management and investigative services firm and conducts school campus assessments using CPTED principles. He also earned the CPTED Safe School Master Practitioner Certification and has performed organizational assessments of several school district police departments.
Albert is a board member for the (CAHPCU) California Association of Highway Patrolmen Credit Union. He is also involved in several other organizations including the California Association of Licensed Investigators, Professional Investigators of California, the Association of Threat Assessment Profession, ASIS International, the National Council of Investigation & Security Services and the National Society of Hispanic MBA.
