Dr. Amy Hakim
Dr. Amy Hakim is a practicing Industrial-Organizational Psychologist in South Florida. She runs a management consulting firm that specializes in training and development, targeted hiring, and survey design and analysis.
Dr. Hakim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Florida International University. She holds a Master of Science in Psychology and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the same institution.
Dr. Hakim has taught for University of Phoenix for over 10 years. She is currently Lead Faculty Area Chair for I-O Psychology, and also facilitates business and leadership courses for the School of Advanced Studies. Dr. Hakim serves as a doctoral mentor and she coaches new faculty, as well.
Dr. Hakim is published in Psychological Bulletin and in Educational and Psychological Measurement for meta-analytic work and for her research on work commitment. D. Hakim is a member of the Society of Industrial-Organizational Psychology and American Psychological Association.
