Dr. Arnold Witchel
Dr. Arnie Witchel has been teaching for the University of Phoenix since 1995, where he also serves as a Chair and committee member in the doctoral program. He has held a number of positions with the University, including Assistant Department Chair and Graduate Department Chair for the Orlando campus; in 2002, he was named Faculty of the Year for that campus. Dr. Witchel earned his DBA in Management from the University of Sarasota and his Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, where he participated in the first on-line university graduation ceremony. His Bachelor’s degree was earned at University of Memphis. In addition, he is the co-author of two instructional books regarding online teaching and learning. He is an experienced speaker and trainer and has presented at conferences including TVB, IBAM, and SHRM, among others.
Arnie worked in advertising and broadcast sales and sales management for over 20 years prior to starting his own consulting and training firm. While in advertising, he worked on major national accounts, including Anheuser Busch, Meow Mix, and Monsanto Agrichemicals. In broadcasting, he held the position of sales manager at major representative firms and for TV stations in Santa Barbara, CA and Toledo, OH. Currently he is President of Witchel & Associates, whose focus is solutions for organization development and training, especially in the leadership area. The firm also does customized instructional design and statistical analysis for both the private and public business sectors. Some of the firm’s clients have included The Walt Disney Company, Lockheed Martin, Teletech, Transportation and Security Administration, and the City of Orlando. Two major newspaper stories recently featured a statistical analysis conducted by Witchel & Associates for TSA. Dr. Witchel is a member of ATD, and certified in Myers Briggs, DiSC, Crucial Conversations, and DDI/Achieve Global programs.
Arnie lives in Orlando, FL with his best friend and wife of over 30 years, Bonnie.
