Gary has taught at University of Phoenix for 12 years, both online and at the Chicago campus.
His varied professional experience in information technology spans over 35 years. He is currently a Senior Member of Technical Staff for Verizon. He has spent the last 27 years focused on telecommunications, acting as the Chicago Regional Office Principal for the International Centers for Telecommunications Technology (ICTT), and a Principal Systems Engineering, responsible for design of multiple network management products, for ACD (now part of JDSU). He has also worked to support animal health research as a Project Analyst at Pfizer, and on a series of NASA projects through CSC.
Gary holds an MS in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University, and an MS in Mathematics from the University of Chicago. He also has a Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross, where he won the Gertrude O. McBrien Prize as the outstanding math major of his class.
