Find your opportunity at the Career Innovation 2012 job-fair series

Career Innovation 2012

Add up the amount of time it takes to work your contacts, go to interviews and carefully craft your resumé and cover letters — and you might find that job hunting itself is a 40-hour-a-week job. University of Phoenix in partnership with CareerBuilder® is working to make your job search a bit easier by offering the Career Innovation 2012 career-fair series in 13 cities across the country. The first event: March 28 in Miami.

Along with workshops and assessments, each event will host representatives from more than 30 public and private companies that have at least five open positions. They can answer questions about the company and about specific positions and can even conduct on-site interviews.

Attendees can also obtain a "Personalized Career Report," which analyzes skills and career outlook — including current trends in the local job market, where the jobs are in a specific field, median salary estimates and related fields. This report is complimentary, and you can have it printed it out on-site or access it online for up to 30 days after the event.

To make sure your job-search tools are as effective as possible, experts in resumé writing will be available for complimentary one-on-one sessions. In addition, University of Phoenix faculty members and CareerBuilder representatives will lead workshops on how to craft resumés and conduct interviews. "We'll also have a certified image consultant on hand," says Caren Klipin, Account Director, "to help you create a professional image that highlights your unique attributes and fits the career you're looking for."

Will you be attending a career fair in 2012? If so, what are you looking forward to? Let us know on Facebook®, Twitter® or in the comments below.
