Lucky Socks may knock your (other) socks off
The right accessory for almost any occasion
When University of Phoenix students and alumni pull on their Lucky Socks, they’re sharing something meaningful. Like wearing a club emblem or pin, donning the bright red socks bearing the University’s rising phoenix logo is a way for more than 1 million students, alumni and staff to show solidarity.
“Our Lucky Socks signify membership in a powerful network,” says Nikki Sandoval, executive director of the University of Phoenix Alumni Association. “They are a symbol of a lot of hard work [and] a commitment to higher education.”
And because the University has no athletics, fight songs or mascots to rally around, she notes, sporting the socks is also a quiet but visible way to demonstrate school spirit in class, at alumni events or in the community.
