Online Teaching Courses
Pursue online teaching courses through the College of Education at University of Phoenix. We provide practical solutions to your educational needs by offering teaching courses online or on-campus.
Whether you are completing an education degree or supplementing your professional teaching skills, you can complete online teaching courses one class at a time.
Undergraduate and Graduate Online Teaching Courses
Online teaching courses and teacher licensure preparation programs are available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. At the bachelor's level, the Bachelor of Science in Education program requires candidates to complete at least 100 hours of verifiable field experiences, student teaching, and 60 credits of online teaching courses.
Master’s and doctoral teaching degrees can also be completed online with teaching courses, student teaching and field-based experience. The Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Ph.D. in education both offer online teaching courses, depending on your location. Get in touch with an enrollment advisor to find out which education program offerings are available in your area.
Continuing Education for Teachers
We also offer online Continuing Teacher Education (CTE) courses that enable teachers to expand their knowledge and earn credits they may need for potential recertification, endorsements or professional growth.* These online teaching courses are developed for experienced teachers as well as those entering the teaching profession.
*Although these courses are accepted by some state departments of education in the United States toward teacher certifications and endorsements, this may not be the case in all states or foreign jurisdictions. If you plan to use this course for certification or endorsement, please check with your own department of education and your school district for applicability. Transferability of credit is at the discretion of the accepting institution. Continuing education courses are not intended to transfer to degree programs at University of Phoenix. It is the student's responsibility to confirm whether or not credits earned at University of Phoenix will be accepted by another institution of the student's choice. Please check with a University Enrollment Advisor.
