Software Engineering Degree

If you're considering a software engineering degree, look into our Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a Concentration in Software Engineering degree program. The BSIT gives you an academic foundation in information technology and offers you a variety of study concentrations including software engineering. Offered through the College of Information Systems and Technology, this undergraduate software engineering degree program is available online or at one of our University of Phoenix locations.

Undergraduate Software Engineering Degree Concentration

The BSIT/Software Engineering degree program provides you with the knowledge to successfully apply information technology theory and principles to real-world business opportunities and challenges. Under the guidance of our practitioner faculty, you'll use innovative digital materials and simulations in this software engineering degree program to develop competencies in systems analysis and design, computer programming, database developing, network technologies, information systems security, web technologies and project planning.

The software engineering degree concentration focuses on principles of software application development. Several courses are required to complete the software engineering degree concentration, including introductory courses in Software Engineering and Operating Systems.

Beyond our BSIT/Software Engineering Degree

Degree programs offered through the College of Information Systems and Technology at University of Phoenix focus on the application of information technology in the business environment. All technology degree programs, including the bachelor's-level software engineering degree, are designed to foster an environment of learning the same way professionals work.
