Valley Charities Receive $22K Thanks to Apollo Group Employee Donations
Apollo Group, Inc., employees chose three worthy charitable organizations to receive a total of $22,000 in donations during their recent holiday party on Dec. 12. Employees were given the opportunity to drop their vote into one of three containers designated for Valley charities, including the Arizona Humane Society, St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance and the Phoenix Public Library.

In November, University of Phoenix Kansas City Campus held its first ever homecoming event for alumni. During the event, two best friends were recognized for their commitment to their education and for their community involvement. Janice Wallace and Robyn Reynolds were presented with the prestigious Pioneer Award.

For the first time in University of Phoenix's 32 year history the institution held an alumni homecoming event. Each campus throughout the nation designed its event around individual needs and unique situations. The Kansas City campus elected for a football theme held at the 810 Zone on the Plaza featuring the Phoenix Cardinals vs. the San Francisco 49ers for Monday Night Football.
