University of Phoenix, Springfield, MO, Names Yalonda Pinnell Associate Campus Director

SPRINGFIELD, MO, June 4, 2009 — University of Phoenix promoted Yalonda Pinnell to the position of Associate Campus Director. Pinnell began her career at University of Phoenix as an Academic Counselor, was named Director of Operations, and then served as Learning Center Director from March 2008.

During her tenure at University of Phoenix, Pinnell has seen the local campus expand in its current facility located at 1343 E. Kingsley. In addition to academic expansion and increased enrollment, Pinnell will guide the renovation of the Student Resource Center with the addition of 20 computer stations, five interview rooms, a coffee bar, and renovations that promote a greater sense of community.

Pinnell is also launching initiatives for increased social responsibility and community building. She says, "Life is full of opportunities. We’re determined to provide everyone with a chance to seize an opportunity for a better education, a better job, and-ultimately-a better life. I’m proud to be part of University of Phoenix, and I enjoy working closely with individuals who are achieving their life goals through higher education."

A native of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Pinnell moved to Springfield in 2005 after graduating from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business-Management/Marketing and her Master's in Business Administration.
