University of Phoenix to Hold Resume Building Workshop

Upcoming Workshops Will Help Displaced Workers Sharpen Their Skills

MERIDIAN, June 15, 2009 — University of Phoenix Idaho Campus continues its effort to assist displaced workers and other community members who want to sharpen their work skills. The Idaho Department of Labor reports a 22-year unemployment high, reaching 7.8 percent in May. During the next several weeks, the University will host several community workshops, including Resume Building, Time Management and Computer Skills. All workshops will be held at 3080 E Gentry Way Suite 150, Meridian, ID.

Time Management Workshop: Thursday, June 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

This workshop presents attendees with a list of common barriers to effective time managements and methods for overcoming those barriers.

Resume Workshop: Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

This workshop illustrates how to create a dynamic and effective resume as well as strategies and techniques for a successful job interview.

Computer Skills Workshop: Thursday, July 2nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

This workshop provides students guidance in the basic use of the computer and the applications used by University of Phoenix and Axia College.
