University of Phoenix – Austin Campus Welcomes New Associate Campus Director

AUSTIN , July 14, 2009 — University of Phoenix recently announced the promotion of Michael Cullup to associate campus director for the Austin market, which includes a campus location in Austin and new learning centers in Killeen and South Austin. As the campus leader, Cullup manages the more than 100 faculty and staff members and oversees all academic, enrollment, finance, corporate development, and marketing for all three of the University's learning center and campus locations.

Cullup has held several prominent positions at the Austin campus including the Director of Student and Financial Services and, most recently, the Director of Operations. Among his many achievements, he supervised the launch of the South Austin Learning Center, which is also the University's first green resource center in the nation, managed the grand opening of the Killeen Learning Center and helped direct the evolution of the Student Support Specialist position.

A native of Washington, his five-year tenure began in Arizona as an academic counselor for the nursing program. Other positions with University of Phoenix include enrollment manager and learning center director of the Fox Valley Learning Center at the Milwaukee Campus.

Cullup earned his bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College and his master's degree from University of Phoenix.
