Assefa Muluneh, PhD

Assefa Muluneh holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and has been teaching economics courses for almost 20 years. He has been a faculty member in the University of Phoenix School of Business since 2002, where he teaches economics and statistics courses both online and at the Dallas Campus.

Assefa was the senior economist at the Planning Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and was a member of the International Labour Organization's group of experts for the projection and implementation of wage system reforms in the nation. He is currently the president of a small business in Texas and also serves as a part-time academic advisor at Richland College.
His areas of expertise are development economics, social policies, international trade, and employment & manpower planning.

Assefa was a member of the United Nations Association of the United States of America for nine years.
