Charlotte Curtis, PhD

Charlotte Curtis has been teaching at the University of Phoenix Louisiana Campus since 2006. She understands the rigors of balancing school and life as she earned her graduate degrees after having five children. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans, as well as a master’s and doctorate in English from Louisiana State University, with concentrations in rhetoric and composition. She has more than 15 years of experience teaching at the university level.

Charlotte is retired from the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT), where she was Manager of Technical Communications. In this role, she was responsible for the development, preparation and archival of NCBRT course materials, documents and publications. She developed training materials for first-responders to WMD mass casualty events, and also evaluated the course materials developed by other agencies and offered revision advice. In addition, she has developed writing workshops for a variety of academic and corporate clients.
