Dawn Muhammad, PhD
Dawn Muhammad has over 15 years of experience as a professional speaker, trainer, facilitator and presenter. She has been teaching at the University of Phoenix Chicago Campus since 2002. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Capella University, a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Roosevelt University, a Master of Arts in Corporate Communication from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dawn is currently Executive Director of DTM Entertainment—a company that encompasses both of her passions: education and entertainment. She is also a corporate and personal life coach.
She has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at a wide variety of institutions, including Calumet College of St. Joseph, Roosevelt University, St. Xavier University, DePaul University, DeVry University, College of DuPage, Chicago School of Professional Psychology and North Central College.
Dawn is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the National Communication Association, the American Society of Training and Development and the American Psychological Association. Her current research interests include emotions in the workplace and the functions of emotions while communicating.
