Ernie Hernandez, PhD

Ernie Hernandez teaches business and information technology (IT) courses online and at the University of Phoenix Southern California Campus. He has more than 25 years experience in IT having worked with government agencies and several large corporations. He also owns a small business consulting company in Orange County.

Ernie has a master's and doctoral degree in sociology. He worked for eight years as a Behavioral Research Scientist for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and has held management positions in information systems for AT&T, General Electric and the Southern California Gas Company.

He has taught in the fields of business, information systems and computer sciences at California State University at Fullerton and Long Beach and National University in Costa Mesa. He is a member of the Computer Security Institute and the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
