Jennifer Frei, PhD

Jennifer Frei brings over 17 years of experience to the classroom with expertise in personality psychology, abnormal psychology, social psychology and adult romantic attachment relationships. Since 2004 she has taught at the University of Phoenix Sacramento Campus, where she is a leader of the local New Faculty Certification process. She is also a Lecturer at the University of California Davis.

Jennifer earned a Master of Arts in Psychology from California State University Sacramento and a Doctor of Philosophy in Social and Personality Psychology from the University of California Davis. Her doctoral research focused on the application of attachment theory to adult romantic relationships. 

For 10 years, she worked in the mental health field providing long-term residential treatment services to severely mentally ill adults. For two years, she was the program director of a residential treatment facility.

Jennifer is a member of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology and the International Association for Relationship Research.
