Johnnie Bejarano, DBA

Johnnie Bejarano has over 30 years of experience in accounting, financial management, and planning and analysis. He is an Area Chair in the University of Phoenix School of Business at the Denver Campus, where he teaches accounting and finance to undergraduate and MBA students. Johnnie is also a Senior Financial Analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where he has worked for more than 20 years.

He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from University of Phoenix as well as a Masters of Arts in Management and a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. His areas of expertise include accounting education, mitigating corporate financial fraud and fraud awareness training. He’s also developed his own fraud mitigation model—a predictive tool designed to better understand what might motivate perpetrators of corporate fraud.

Johnnie is on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Military Comptrollers and the United States Golf Association.
