Michael Prator, MSCIS

Michael Prator brings to the classroom over 16 years of experience in product management within the technology certification and higher education industries. He’s been teaching courses in the College of Information Systems & Technology since 2006. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in educational technology.

Michael serves as the Director of Academic Affairs for the College of Information Systems & Technology. He has also co-authored technology training and certification textbooks for ComputerPREP and Prosofttraining. Michael is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW), a Certified Internet Webmaster – Certified Instructor (CIW-CI), Certified in Convergent Network Technologies (CCNT), and a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

In his spare time, Michael serves as a Gilbert Centennial Rotary Observatory certified operator, a volunteer astronomy lecturer for community events, a Civil Air Patrol volunteer and a Girl Scout adult volunteer.
