Robert Larkin, DBA

Robert Larkin has over three decades of experience as an analyst, planner, manager and elected official. He’s operated his own business dealing in research, studies and strategy for political clients. Robert holds a Doctor of Business Administration from University of Phoenix and a Master of Science from Michigan State University.

Since 1999, Robert has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the University of Phoenix School of Business, including economics, research and evaluation, quantitative reasoning in business, and strategic planning and implementation. He currently serves as the Chair for Graduate Business Programs at the Northern Nevada Campus. In this role, Robert oversees academic quality and rigor within the graduate business program and provides leadership in the areas of faculty development, faculty assessment and certification, and course content.

Robert is active in his local community, having twice been elected the County Commissioner for Washoe County, the second largest metro area in Nevada. He also serves on several committees including the Airport Noise Advisory Panel for the Reno Tahoe Airport, the Nevada State Bar Ethics Panel, the Sparks Citizen Advisory and the Organizational Effectiveness Committee of Washoe County.
