Ramon Benedetto, DM

Ray Benedetto has nearly 40 years of experience in various aspects of leadership and management in the public and private sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Penn State, a Master of Science from the University of Southern California and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix. He currently teaches leadership, management and ethics courses in the MBA program for the School of Business.

Ray served in numerous leadership and staff positions with the United States Air Force and the Department of Defense (DoD). His reputation as an effective change leader lead to assignments such as the post-Cold War restructuring of the military services and the transformation of the Military Health Services System. Ray completed his distinguished military career in 1996 with the rank of Colonel, and received the DoD Superior Service Medal upon his military retirement.

In civilian life, Ray continued his work in organizational transformation as a consultant for companies, business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs concerned with organizational effectiveness and sustainability.

Ray is board certified in healthcare management and is a recertified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He completed executive courses at George Washington University and various professional military schools, including the Air War College. His leadership and contributions to health care earned several awards from ACHE and Penn State, where he served for several years in voluntary leadership capacities including guest lecturer.
