Robert Metzger, MA

Robert Metzger has taught Criminal Justice & Security courses at University of Phoenix since 2002. He earned a master’s degree from the University of Detroit/Mercy in 1981.

Robert has been named Chief of Police in four different departments and currently serves in the role at the Sylvania Township Police Department in Ohio. During his more than 34 years in the field, he’s also served as a detective, SWAT Team Commander, shift supervisor and patrol officer.

He is also a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police, the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police and the FBI National Academy Alumni.
